Sports

Sports are highly valued in our school community. Riversdale has a proud sporting tradition.  We compete in a cluster against Waikaia and Balfour and children who achieve success go on to represent the school at Northern and Southland level. 

 

Every Friday afternoon during Term 2, all of our children are involved in a sport – hockey, football, netball, rugby and other codes are offered. Our rugby and netball children are coached by members of our community as well as staff.  In summer, children may play tennis, cricket, touch rugby, tee-ball or softball.
